  • Luiza Daniela Bucurenciu

    Luiza was born in Romania and lived there until 2013 before moving to the U.A.E. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Romanian language. Away from school, Luiza likes to travel, listen to music and swim.
    She graduated from the University of Sports Movement and Health Sciences in Romania, specialising in P.E and swimming. Before coming to Ajman Academy, she was teaching swimming from Kindergarten to grades 10 in the International School of Chouiefat, Ras Al Khaimah, U.A.E.
    Currently, Luiza is teaching secondary students and KG1 and KG2.
    Luiza believes that everything happens for a reason; education is a particular type of human action or intervention that influences our future. She is a firm believer that humanity will improve through education and that we can all reach our goals through persistence. She is eager to teach the students to swim and to have them represent Ajman Academy in swimming competitions in the future.

    Luzaan Joubert (Putter) was born in Pretoria, South Africa. She is married to her husband Jan and lives in Ras Al Khaimah; she is new to the UAE.
    Luzaan received her Bachelors of Education Degree from The University of Pretoria. She studied for four years (Jan 2011-Dec 2014) to attain my qualification. She started working in Jan 2015 at the high school she went when she was younger. The school’s name is Zwartkop High. It is an Afrikaans school with about 1800 students ranging from Grade 8-12. Here, Luzaan taught all the grades and was the subject coordinator. She feels she will learn a lot of new things here at Ajman Academy and she is looking forward to developing and growing here.
    Luzaan would like to invest herself in every student within the art department. Create a productive environment where students can learn new things and explore different strategies within the art environment.
    She aims to bring a lot of new content, knowledge and skills to the students, because of her experience in this subject field.
  • Mabrouka Missawi

    Mabroka is an experienced apple teacher with a demonstrated history in teaching modern languages and Arabic as a second language in international schools. She began her teaching career in 2011 after completing a BA Degree in applied languages at Monastir University, Tunisia. She went on to work at a public school in Tunisia as a secondary teacher for one year and later moved to the UAE after marrying.
    Before joining Ajman Academy, she worked in a learning support role in Dar -Almarefa private school in Dubai. Mabrouka joined Ajman Academy in 2013 and she will tell you that is was one of the best decisions she has ever made. She loves being part of a caring community and proud to be one of the faculty that provides creative, engaging and immersive learning experiences for the students safely and enjoyable.
    After three years in AJAC Primary Mabrouka moved to the Secondary School and continues to work as an Arabic Teacher.
    She values most the community spirit at Ajman Academy and the relationships she has built with many parents, and she contributes this to the success and reputation that has been created over the years.
    Finally, it is the success of every child that studies here that fulfil Mabrouka’s role as a teacher.

    Mahmoud Naffa is Jordanian. However he was born and raised in Ajman, this means he has a huge love for this country like it is his country
    He graduated from the Hashemite University in Jordan with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. He has six years experience in construction after working as a contractor with Darwish Engineering in Ajman & as a consultant with Eng. Adnan Saffarini office in Dubai. Mahmoud joined Ajman Academy in 2016 as the Manager of Facilities, Maintenance and Projects.
    He is engaged will marry soon.
    Mahmoud’s work goal is to ensure he provides a safe, tidy, & hygienic environment for students & teachers to support the teaching strategy at AJAC.

    Majeda Mahmoud Namroud is from Lebanon and has lived in the UAE for the last 19 years. She has three children, Hala (G7), Abdullah (G9) & Maysam is a senior in G12.
    She has a Diploma in kindergarten studies in 1999, recently got a bachelor of arts in Arabic language literature in 2017
    Majeda has worked in many different schools before joining Ajman Academy. She started in Ghassan Kanafani Kindergarten in Lebanon for one year. Then after moving to the UAE, she worked as an Arabic Language teacher at Al Reqa School in Sharjah and Al-Hikmah School in Ajman for four years. After that, she started working in Iqraa International school in Sharjah & stayed there for seven years as a teacher and coordinator for the Arabic language in Kindergarten. In 2015 she joined Ajman Academy. Working at AJAC has helped build knowledge and provides challenges that allow her to reach her goals every day.
    Majeda's goal as a teacher is to make the students love the Arabic Language because if they enjoy it, they’ll become interested in it. Another goal of mine is to build a strong relationship with the students & their parents; having a healthy relationship means that the parents trust me with their kids!

    Maysoon Ali is from Jordan, and a graduated from the University of Jordan with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. While at University, she was a member of the Jordanian National team for Volleyball.
    Maysoon views Ajman Academy as the leading school in the region and is excited to observe how the young students learn, progress and evolve through her lessons. She is the PYP subject leader which means she integrates the IBPYP philosophy into the Primary Physical Education planning. As well as her teaching role she has worked as the whole school ECA’s Coordinator for the last four years. She is also fully responsible for the choreography of the schools National Day production that is attended by H.H Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi and other distinguished members of the Royal Family.
    As a mother of two children, she understands how valuable is a positive primary experience is and will strive every day provide lessons that are fun, active, and knowledgeable, providing every student with a positive learning experience and a love for physical education.
    What she like best is the fact that it is the children who are responsible for leading these exciting lesson of learning. She also really values our fantastic school community.
    More than anything it is the success of every child that makes her job as a PE teacher such a rewarding one. When Maysoon is working, she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her family.

    Mike has 17 years’ experience in teaching and leadership at schools in the UK and overseas. He will be joining Ajman Academy from The Alice Smith School in Kuala Lumpur with his wife Rehab and son Alister, who will be entering the Primary school.
    Born in the North of England, he was educated at international schools in Kenya and Saudi Arabia before returning to the UK at age 11.
    Having graduated from Newcastle University in 1992, Mike taught English in Japan for three years then worked as a Recruitment Consultant in London, before training as a teacher at Middlesex University. After teaching in a primary school in London, he worked for several years in Egypt and Malaysia.
    His main aim as a leader and teacher is to ensure that all pupils achieve everything they are capable of academically, socially and morally through an outstanding holistic education. Every child has the ability to succeed, and he believes that children learn best when they are happy at school, are respected and cared for and when their natural and individual curiosities are piqued.
    Outside of school, Mike enjoys travel and spending time with his family and is looking forward to exploring the deserts of the UAE.

    Minesha Leonard was born and educated in the UK where she received her BSc (Hons) in Business and International Studies from the University of Salford and her PGCE in Business Education from Edge Hill College. Minesha has worked as a teacher in various countries; 5 years in the UK, two years in Vietnam, four years in Kazakhstan and four years in Jordan. Minesha has held several middle management roles throughout her teaching career that range from Head of Faculty to Btec Coordinator.

    Minesha has always aspired to getting the very best results from her students through hard work, encouraging self-belief and a positive mindset from the students as well as ensuring students have a solid moral compass. Developing the whole child is something that Minesha is very passionate about, and she is looking forward to working with her students at Ajman Academy.

    Minesha will be moving to the UAE with her husband Barrie, her two sons James 5 and Hari 3 who will both be attending Ajman Acadamy. As a family, we are looking forward to moving to the UAE and making this beautiful country our new home.

    Nadine was born and raised in East London, South Africa. She is passionate about travelling, meeting new people and engaging with new cultures. Nadine graduated from university with a Bachelor Degree of Education with a specialisation in Primary Phase. She has previously taught in Namibia and Taiwan and has been a teacher in the UAE at Ajman Academy since 2017. Nadine has experience teaching across a variety of grades and subjects, ranging from Grade 3 through to Grade 7. She also has experience with added responsibility within administration, leadership and on the sport’s field. Currently, Nadine is the Grade 5 Level Leader.
    Nadine is zealous about education and intends to continue developing her knowledge by furthering her studies in the future. Diversity, creative thinking, individuality and inclusivity are important aspects to her within the classroom environment. She hopes to motivate and inspire her students to achieve their best and to exceed their potential.
